Florida Governor and First Lady to be Honored at Prestigious Florida BlueGreen Event

The Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida (FWFF) has announced Florida Governor Rick Scott and First Lady Ann Scott will be honored at this year’s annual BlueGreen Event, Saturday, November 14th in Weston Florida.

“Governor Scott has been instrumental in helping develop a strong connection between fish and wildlife conservation and traditional outdoors activities like hunting and especially fishing,” said Rodney Barreto, Chairman of FWFF.

“And our First Lady Ann is an outdoors enthusiast in her own right, dedicated to getting our kids outdoors. Together they provide leadership for effective conservation and youth engagement in Florida.”

“This year marks our fourth BlueGreen Event thanks to our generous host FWC Commissioner “Alligator” Ron Bergeron and his fabulous Green Glades Ranch. Everybody just loves being a cowboy.” The great location combined with the support of the outdoors industry and Florida’s conservation groups has helped us create a premier fundraising event for kids and conservation in Florida,” Barreto added.

Governor Scott and First Lady Ann Scott will be officially honored during the 4th Annual BlueGreen Event on Saturday, November 14th at FWC Commissioner Ron “Alligator” Bergeron’s Green Glades Ranch in Weston. This will be the chance to meet, greet, and make strong connections with others who share the same Florida conservation vision, and have the means and abilities to make the vision a reality.

Chairman Barreto concluded, “It is a pleasure to work with Rick and Ann Scott. Their love for our state and business-like approach enable them to have a major impact on the future of Florida. We are proud to honor them at our Blue-Green Event.”
