Ways To Give, Be Part of the Solution
Imagining Florida stripped of its wealth of wildlife, its fish, its unique habitats, its natural communities, is difficult for us all, but as the human population of the State has ballooned from just under 3 million in 1950 to almost 16 million at the turn of the century, Florida's natural resources are severely strained.
By actively supporting the Foundation, residents and visitors can help fund needed research and help Florida's wildlife managers to better protect natural habitats, to better manage existing fish and wildlife populations, and to better inform our citizens of ways they can help to maintain Florida's important natural resources and heritage.
The Foundation depends on individual donations, support from other charitable organizations, and from the State's corporate community to fulfill a unique niche in Florida philanthropy. We are Florida's community Foundation for the environment. Through the Foundation, individuals and businesses can play personal roles in protecting and enhancing Florida's fish and wildlife resources and their habitats. The Foundation directs funds to vital and varied initiatives and projects related to the conservation of Florida's wildlife. Your contribution can be earmarked for your specific area of interest. Funded projects are generally linked to the following areas:
- Habitat Conservation
- Fish and Wildlife Management
- Fish and Wildlife Research
- Education and Outreach
Your financial support will help Florida maintain and enhance its unique fish and wildlife communities now and into the future.
