Art For Nature's Sake

Art guides us deeper into the truth of who we are. Nature reflects that same truth as well as affording us the opportunity to heal the sad and broken places and to celebrate the victories and milestones of our lives, I am grateful to the generosity of spirt exhibited in these works of art...what a grand partnership: artists and nature joining forces to heal, to celebrate and to commemorate lives well-lived. Please assist us in stewarding these natural habitats where animals flourish and our souls are set free. Purchase a great work of art as a reminder of who you are, and as a way to ensure these opportunites for your children and their children..for all children. Julie Wiegand

Hello, my name is Julie Wiegand. I have been a working artist in Missouri for over 30 years. I grew up in the rural town of Chesterfield, in the Missouri river bottoms, surrounded by huge cottonwood trees and farm fields for miles. I currently live in rural Missouri on 15 acres of high land in a historic limestone one room schoolhouse. I express my connection, concern, and love of nature through my art.
A large percentage of my oils are created plein air, from life, capturing the changing light and surrounded by the natural world. It is challenging and joyous work!

"Endangered Treasure #2"

This original oil painting of a Florida panther is among a series of endangered animal paintings by artist Pat Cleveland. It is her hope that sales of these works of art may help to contribute to preserving animal species that are important to our environment.

Pat Cleveland

Working primarily with oils, she brings color and a strong sense of composition to her work. A graduate of Traphagen School of Design in New York City, Cleveland spent fifteen years working as an interior designer, including ten years at Bloomingdale's. In 1975 Cleveland moved to Florida where she furthered her studies and became an active member of several art organizations. In the 1980's she began showing her work, winning numerous awards at juried shows. Her work has been presented by Rick Moore Fine Art Gallery, Naples, Fl. Sanibel Gallery, Sanibel Island, Fl. Witt and Witt Gallery, Ft. Myers, Fl., Images Gallery, Lakeland, Fl., Wild Child Gallery, Matlacha, Fl. And ZyZyGy Gallery, Ft. Myers, Fl. One of Cleveland's paintings won an international competition sponsored by Artis Spectrum Magazine, New York, N.Y. and was featured in an issue of that magazine. Her work is in many private collections including such notables as Lily Tomlin, the actress, and Russian ice dance champions. More of her work may be seen at www.patclevelandgallery.com
