Gary Nicklaus joins F&WFF Board of Directors

The Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida (F&WFF) recently named Gary T. Nicklaus, 45, to its board of directors.

Nicklaus was born in West Palm Beach and currently lives in Tequesta. He serves on the boards of several South Florida organizations, including the Nicklaus Companies, a company dedicated to promoting excellence in the game of golf, preserving its great traditions, and growing the game. He has been the vice chairman of Nicklaus Companies since 2009; prior to that he was the company’s managing director, and was founder and president of Nicklaus Investments.

“I am honored to serve on the board of directors of the Wildlife Foundation of Florida,” said Nicklaus.

From 1991 through 2003 Nicklaus played golf professionally on the PGA Tour. He regained his amateur status in 2006 and continues to compete occasionally in various amateur events in South Florida. He is also an accomplished golf course designer, with courses throughout the United States and abroad, including Arizona, Missouri, New York, Wales, Mexico and Spain.

“Gary will bring some new perspective to the Wildlife Foundation of Florida’s board of directors,” said Rodney Barreto, chairman of the Wildlife Foundation of Florida. “We look forward to working with him as we pursue our projects to involve young people in outdoor conservation activities in South Florida.”
